This policy explains what personal data Codalith collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have. Codalith is a software studio operated by Urban Bazaari, a sole proprietorship registered in India. In this policy, "we", "us", and "Codalith" mean Urban Bazaari.
We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act). Where we work with clients or users in the UK or the EU, we also aim to meet the standards of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

2. The data we collect
We only collect what we need to talk to you and deliver work:
- Details you give us: your name, email, phone number, company, and anything you write in an enquiry or project brief.
- Project data: files, access, or information you share with us so we can scope and build your project.
- Billing data: the information needed to raise an invoice and take payment. Card and bank details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us.
- Technical data: basic, non-identifying information your browser sends when you visit the site.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
We process your data to reply to your enquiry, schedule and hold calls, prepare quotes, deliver and support projects, raise invoices, and meet our tax and legal duties. Under the DPDP Act we rely on your consent, which you give by contacting us or booking a call, and on the need to perform our agreement with you. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 7).
4. Cookies and third-party tools
Our own site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. We load a small number of third-party tools that may process limited technical data under their own privacy policies: Google Fonts (to display the site). We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add any, we will update this policy to name the tool and its purpose.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as they need it:
- Our email provider, to correspond with you.
- Our payment processor, such as Razorpay, Stripe, or Wise, to take payment and meet financial rules.
- Government or regulators, where the law requires it.
6. Storing your data and transfers
Some of these tools may process data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to keep your data protected and use providers that offer appropriate safeguards.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, or as long as the law requires (for example, tax records). After that we delete or anonymise it. If you withdraw consent and we have no legal reason to keep the data, we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Ask us to correct or complete data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to erase data we no longer need.
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you are unable to.
- Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these, email us at hello@thecodalith.com and we will respond within 7 days.
9. Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to act quickly if anything goes wrong.
