Refunds and Cancellation

Codalith builds custom, made-to-order software, operated by Urban Bazaari. Because each project is built specifically for one client, this policy explains clearly when money is refundable and when it is not.
1. Deposits
Projects start with a deposit of 40%. It secures your place in our schedule and pays for early discovery and scoping. The deposit is non-refundable once work has begun, because the time is already spent.
2. If you cancel before we start building
We refund the deposit minus the value of any discovery or scoping work already done. If we have not started any work, the deposit is refunded in full within 7 business days.
3. If you cancel after work has started
Payments for work already completed and delivered are non-refundable, because the time and effort have been spent. Any milestone paid for but not yet started can be cancelled and refunded. We share a short summary of what was done so the position is clear.
4. Monthly Care Plan
Billed monthly, cancel any time. Cancelling stops future charges. We do not refund the current month once it has started, but you will not be charged again.
5. If we cannot deliver
If we are unable to deliver what we agreed and the fault is ours, we will either fix it or refund the amount relating to the undelivered work.
6. How to request a refund or cancel
Email hello@thecodalith.com with your project name and the reason. We respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 7 business days, subject to your bank's timelines. Payments and refunds are handled through Razorpay, Stripe, or Wise.
7. Resolving disagreements
If you are not happy with an outcome, tell us. We work with you in good faith to reach a fair resolution first.
